CCH and its allies are excited about a new Illinois appellate decision holding hospitals accountable for providing "charity care".  Charity Care is the term used to describe the obligation tax exempt hospitals have to provide free and low cost medical care to persons who cannot afford it.  You can read the decision, Provena Covenant Medical Center and Provena Hospitals v.
